Trakya Cam, with its vision of "To
continue its leadership in Turkey and to become
the leader company in the region", has made its
first investment abroad by setting up a
flat glass plant at Targovishte, Bulgaria. The
float line that has started production on 18 March 2006
with a capacity of 225,000 ton/year, is the first float
line in Balkans. This investment is also the
biggest foreign direct greenfield investment
in Bulgaria, as well as in Balkans. In the same
area, processed glass and mirror investments
were completed at the end of 2006 and production was
started. Besides, in order to realize the
export shipments of the jumbo-sized flat glass
products from the Bulgarian plant,
an additional investment for a specialized fleet
of 33 trucks and jumbo trailers
has been made. For this purpose,
Trakya Glass Logistics EAD was established in Bulgaria
on 4 July 2006. All these operations has created employment
for total of 600 people. Furthermore tempered
and laminated auto glass plant investments which
are planned to be activated stage
by stage after the end of 2008, have been
initiated. Beside this auto glass plant,
in accordance with the rapid developments in Central
and Eastern Europe and the Balkans, an investment
decision has also been taken for three more new
plants: coated glass plant, laminated glass
plant as well as a second flat glass plant.

glass plant, having a capacity of 5 million m2
started production in the beginning of June 2007, in order
to manufacture Low-E and Solar Low-E coated glasses for
the new generetion high performance insulating glass units.
The investments of two float lines and a coated glass line
in Yenişehir region create employment for almost 320 people.
In addition to all of above, Trakya Cam Automotive
Glass Factory increased its capacity to 1.6 million vehicles/set
with its expansion project which started in 2002 and was
completed in 2005. Besides, the investment of "Commercial

Recently, the investment decision of a new flat glass plant
(the 7th float line in Turkey), in the Ankara-Polatlı
Industrial Zone is undertaken, under the incorporated body
of "Trakya Polatlı Cam Sanayii A.Ş".
Another progress which was realized in 2007 was that Camiş
Lojistik Hizmetleri ve Ticaret A.Ş. was merged under Trakya
Cam in the form of a takeover so as to create an effective
logistics organization and to achieve cost advantages and
thus transportation operations have been included in the
scope of activities.
