One surface of one of the glass panes in insulating glass unit is coated with the various combinations of metal/ metal oxides.

With this coating the heat control and/or solar control performance of the insulating glass unit is improved. Coated insulating glass units, when incorporated with appropriate glasses can provide noise control, safety and security as well.
