Žižecam has foreseen the competitive advantage in internalizing and developing the most recent technologies, and started its R&D activities in 1976.
 
The R&D Center of Žižecam continuously seeks for integration of contemporary technologies with new investments and also for existing technologies located among the production facilities. Effort in the development of new products with superior performance is conducted with a project organization approach at Sisecam's central and regional R&D units.
